The Vernon “Skipper” Tunstall Scholarship

Vernon Manuel Tunstall was a Baltimore native, born and raised in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. He received his education from Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Northwestern High School. After finishing high school, Vernon enlisted in the United States Marines, where he served for a period of time before being honorably discharged. Following his military service, he pursued a career in construction and worked as a construction worker for many years. During this time, he helped build the Baltimore subway system, leaving an enduring legacy for the city and its people. In his personal life, Vernon was married to Angela Biddle, and they had three daughters together named Arnel, Kapriel, and Lariel. He was a family man who loved spending time with his loved ones and close friends. Whenever he had some free time, he would take to the streets of Baltimore on his beloved Kawasaki motorcycle, which was one of his favorite pastimes. Vernon Manuel Tunstall was a hardworking and dedicated man who made a significant contribution to his community through his work in construction. He will always be remembered for his commitment to his family and friends, as well as his love for motorcycles and adventure.
