Dorothy Mae Biddle was born in Wilmington, North Carolina in 1939 but eventually relocated to South Baltimore with her parents, Wilbert Smith and Mae Belle Smith. She graduated from Douglas High School and had aspirations of entering the real estate field but ultimately decided to focus on starting a family. At 19 years old, she married Russell Biddle and became a proud mother to Angela, Gwendolyn, Michael, Aronda, and Russell Jr. Dorothy had a passion for cooking, particularly sweet potato pies, which she was known for amongst her family and friends. She enjoyed watching Wendy Williams on TV during her downtime and loved to play spades. Dorothy and her family initially resided in Lexington Terrace before relocating to Pembridge Avenue in the Park Heights Community. She worked as a day worker cleaning for Ms. Adler, and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Throughout her life, Dorothy was a devoted and caring mother, grandmother, and friend who brought joy and comfort to those around her. Dorothy Mae Biddle was a kind-hearted and family-oriented woman who made significant contributions to her community through her love and care for her family, as well as her passion for cooking. Her legacy continues to inspire those who knew her, and she will always be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and loving spirit.
